Privacy Policy

In short: Nodo has no server, no account and collects no data. Your maps are files on your computer, and only you decide where they live.

1. What Nodo is

Nodo is a desktop mind mapping app (Windows, macOS and Linux). It works offline: each map is a .nodo file that you save wherever you want.

2. Data on your computer

The content of your maps lives only in the files you save. Interface preferences (theme, zoom, line style, your last search) are kept by the app itself, on your computer.

3. What Nodo sends over the internet

Nothing. Nodo makes no network requests to open, edit or save maps, has no telemetry and shows no ads.

4. Claude (MCP)

If you connect Claude in Settings, Nodo only writes an entry to Claude Desktop’s configuration on your computer so that Claude can start Nodo. From then on, whatever Claude reads from your maps is covered by Anthropic’s privacy policy, because it is Claude that sends the content to its service. Disconnecting removes the entry.
